This quarter we are hosting our second release dinner for our Blender’s Circle Member at the tasting room Friday, May 17th. The evening will begin promptly at 6PM and guests will enjoy 5 courses and 6 beers throughout the night. The dinner also serves as an opportunity for members to pick up their May club shipment early!

Poached salmon, gremolata, asparagus, artichoke puree. 

Terroir: Chardonnay -
Laminated brioche tart, goat cheese custard, leek.

Crispy prosciutto, braised fennel, hazelnut foam.

Common Nectar -
Fermented oat pudding , saffron honey soffrito, poached duck egg, rhubarb compote. 

Kind of Blue -
Mascarpone polenta, pork belly, dried apricot chutney, walnut praline grains.

Our spring release is coming up the weekend of May 18-19th! As always, these beers will be released in conjunction with a celebration for our members at our tasting room.  As these events grow we've decided to expand the time frame when you can pick up your allotment, so from 1-6pm on 5/18 and 5/19 we will have tastings of each of the new beers paired with delicious small bites, and live music!

New Beers Include:

  • Common Nectar – Our second collaboration blend with The Commons Brewery was matured on locally grown, whole Yellow Nectarines from Detering Orchards. Aromatic and juicy stone fruit notes balance the firm acidity of this mixed-culture ale. Despite a perceived medium-full body sweetness from the nectarine refermentation, Common Nectar finishes crisp and dry.

  • Terroir: Chardonnay – Continuing our series of wine grape-matured farmhouse ales, this bright golden-colored beer underwent a second fermentation on 2017 Chardonnay juice from Iris Vineyards and has notes of peach, honey and tropical fruit with subtle oak on the finish. It ends with medium acidity intertwined with a soft citrus peel note. 

  • Touch of Brett: Galaxy – This dry French-style saison was primary fermented with a blend of Brettanomyces yeasts,lending tropical fruit and spicy aromas. After aging, it was dry-hopped liberally with Galaxy hops, adding juicy layers of pineapple, peach and passionfruit. Join us on the journey as the hops and brettanomyces yeast evolve together over time. 

  • Touch of Brett: Old Tom – This dry French-style saison was primary fermented with a blend of Brettanomyces yeasts, lending tropical fruit and spicy aromas and then further matured in Old Tom Gin barrels for nearly 9 months with Brettanomyces lending flavors of citrus, juniper and pepper-like notes (club only beer)

  • Kind of Blue — Our light-bodied Belgian ale was matured on two varieties of blueberries grown next door at King Estate Winery, yielding a deep magenta color and bursting berry aroma. The oak aging layers in hints of vanilla and dry tannic notes while the secondary berry fermentation adds a firm acidity and complexity that will continue to develop and evolve over time.

For our Blender’s Circle members in Portland, we’ll be hosting a satellite release at Imperial Bottle Shop NE on February 27th. You’ll get the chance to taste through the news beers with small bite pairings for each and pick up your bottle allotment for this quarter.

New Beers Include:

If you know anything about Alesong, hopefully it’s that we specialize in barrel-aging all our beers, and with that we don’t typically make an IPA. What you might not know, is that once a year we have a special occasion that calls for us to make an exception. Our birthday!

This year will mark our third anniversary, and with that our third IPA. This year, we’re collaborating with Sunriver Brewing to make a triple dry-hopped IPA! The beer will be available in 16oz four packs starting June 2nd at our anniversary event at the tasting room!

What started as some get-down old-time holler at some of them Mud City

soirées has sprouted into this unrefined, and downright rambunctious

sound: Appalachian hill music of old blended with a handmade, tough as

nails, breakbeat blues stank!  

Homebrewed in the groves and hollows of Lane County, Dirty Spoon's music

spans generational divides with energetic and often improvised tunes that

somehow manage to stay on the rails, while seeming hell-bent on puttin'er

in the ditch.

The Dirty Spoon sound is fueled through respect for traditional oldtime,

round peak, and delta blues tunes, and their relentless search for a

genuine Northwest Foothill Holler that remains authentic.  Every show is

unique and is sure to inspire with our use of handmade gadgetry,

instrumentation, and the frequent sit-ins from those who have a little

something extra to add to the Dirty Spoon Squalor.

Inner Limits is an energetic blues/funk/rock group based in Eugene, OR. Lead

by guitarist Olem Alves, the group plays a mix of groovin' originals and

arrangements of classic blues and rock, which are designed to light the

funk in your soul and lure the dance from within your mind and body.

Holding down the groove is Jesse Greenlee on drums, and Torrey Newhart

on synth bass. Torrey also colors our grooves with textures from the

keyboard. Olem Alves leads the group on vocals and guitar with Jesse and

Torrey singing backup. Inner Limits is great for outdoor venues and

frequently headlines regional craft beer and music festivals in addition to

regular performances at regional casinos. The group keeps a regular gig

schedule at brewpubs, wineries, and music venues around the state.

The Tracey Fordice Band (formerly known as Tracey Fordice and the 8-Balls) is a popular award winning band from Portland, Oregon. Featuring Tracey Fordice on piano and vocals, Randy Yearout on guitars and vocals, Bob Jacobs on keyboards/synth, Johnnie Corrie-drums and vocal, and Todd Ommert-bass, this talented group performs a variety of musical styles: Blues, R&B, Soul, Swamp Rock and Americana.

Tracey Fordice has a beautiful and powerful voice that can rock you like a tornado of trouble in Tennessee, or soothe your soul with a sweet, sultry tone that is as deep as the mighty Mississippi. Tracey’s unique voice, piano playing, and song-writing talents are a blend of creativity that extends beyond many of the women in blues currently performing throughout the Portland blues scene. Not only that, but she has been performing professionally throughout the Pacific NW for over 40 years!

Lori was destined to be a singer, songwriter and performer from a very early age. She was born into a talented musical family and has explored a wide range of genres from country, soft rock, folk, Christian, easy listening, to blues.

Lori proudly uses the stage name, LeMaster in honor of her Grandma Frances LeMaster who played banjo, fiddle, guitar, mandolin and ukulele all of which Lori is skilled in.

A seasoned, bluesy sway sets the tone for every show and yet there is always an amazing variety of genres due to Lori’s deep appreciation for the music she is rooted in.

Alder Street is boot-stompin’, gritty, and bourbon flavored. The band draws its inspiration from a variety of sources, evinced by original tunes that break the mold of traditional bluegrass, and reprises ranging from Iron Maiden to Bill Monroe.

The band first formed for a benefit show from a hodgepodge of musicians living in Eugene’s infamous Campbell Club Cooperative on Alder Street.Over the years Alder Street blossomed in Eugene's infamous local music scene.

Alder Street's latest album, Americannibal, was relased in May 2014 at Seattle Folklife. It has been described as "a tight, polished study on the frontiers of contemporary bluegrass" - Eugene Weekly

Alder Street's line-up consists of Chris Kelley (banjo), Jesse Lawton (mandolin), Aaron Nelson, (bass), Ian Royer (guitar), Emily West (drums) and Jake Beckwith (fiddle).

Brothers in Law is an Americana/country band out of Springfield, Oregon. They perform original music along with some obscure gems by the likes of Townes Van Zandt, Gram Parsons and Merle Haggard. Their songs and style come from the raw grit of old time folk and country combined with stories of human struggle and the wide open American west.

Band members include Greg Oldson (guitar and vocals), Justin Boe (lap steel, banjo, dobro) and Corwin Bolt (upright bass and vocals). As restless, always searching musicians, the band members also perform in other local bands including: Meadow Rue, Holler and the Hive, and Corwin Bolt and the Wingnuts.
